One of the most exciting events of the year Diani has to offer!

A 3-day long event full of action, fun and positive sportsmanship in one of the world's best kitesurfing spots.

The Kenya Kite Cup is an annual kite freestyle competition in January held by H2O Extreme and The Sands at Nomad. The event is open for anyone to join; men and women are competing separately.

The competitors will perform freestyle movements and selected judges will allocate points based on difficulty, fluidity and style of the trick plus kite position during the maneuver. For the winners of each category we have an attractive prize money waiting.

This year's schedule will look as follows (all wind depending):

Friday, 26th of January
10am: Riders Registration (2500ksh registration fees)
11am: Riders Briefing and drawing of the heats
11.30am - 1pm: set up, warm up of riders
1pm - 4pm: Heats, women followed by men
12pm - 4pm: Opening hours of craft stalls

Saturday, 27th of January
12pm - 4pm: Opening hours of craft stalls
12pm - 4pm: Additional heats, semi finals and finals women followed by men
4pm: Presentation ceremony women and men
from 7pm: Hawaiian Theme Party (dress up, 500ksh entrance fees)

Sunday, 28th of January:
12pm - 4pm: Opening Hours of craft stalls
1pm: Relay race in teams of 3 people, auctioneering of teams to raise money for Local Ocean Trust
3pm: Drawing of raffle tickets

The whole event is meant to create awareness for precious ocean wildlife and to raise funds for the Local Ocean Trust.
